Every photo on The Daily Maverick is either shared by a local or is a free, open-licensed photo from Wikimedia Commons, the free photo library behind Wikipedia. We only use photos licensed CC BY, CC BY-SA (Creative Commons), CC0 or public domain, and we credit the photographer and licence under every one. Nothing paid, nothing with strings attached.
